How can a small change in equipment make a big difference for both patients and dental professionals? That question is the starting point for TFM Dental, a startup in Medeon’s incubator developing a more user-friendly holder for digital X-ray sensors — a solution expected to improve both comfort and image quality.
Medical technology is one of Medeon Science Park’s four strategic focus areas, and throughout the autumn we have been laying the groundwork for several important initiatives. Together with BioStock and Medicon Valley Alliance, we have prepared Medtech Summit – on March 4 at Medeon -an investment and innovation event that has attracted strong interest. The summit is now fully booked, with 12 innovative and exciting medtech companies selected to pitch to investors and industry stakeholders.
One of Medeon’s fast-growing companies is AddSolution Care. In just two years, the company has built a business generating approximately SEK 60 million in revenue and serving around 50 Swedish municipalities. The success is driven by deep industry expertise and a clear understanding of an unmet market need. – We know how it works in practice and where customers face limitations — that’s where we found our niche, says Kristoffer Axelsson, owner and CEO of AddSolution Care.
Since August, Biora’s operations at Medeon is led by a new site manager – American engineer Ben Butler, who brings more than a decade of experience from within the Straumann Group, Biora’s parent company. His mission is to expand the Malmö facility’s role within the global dental innovation leader.
