Medeon Science Park has been part of Malmö's life science community since 1985. For more than 40 years, we have supported entrepreneurs and companies in the life science sector, providing an environment where businesses can develop, knowledge can be shared and new collaborations can take shape.
Over the years, Medeon has grown alongside the industry. Our community has developed, our activities have expanded, and we continue to adapt to the needs of the companies and people working here.
As part of this development, we decided to update our visual identity to better reflect Medeon today and the direction we are heading. Medeon's current visual identity was introduced in April 2025, developed in collaboration with Paper Digital, a communication and design firm based in Malmö.
When developing the new identity, it was important for us to maintain a connection to Medeon's history. The green colour, which has been part of our visual identity for many years, was carried forward from our previous logo. We also retained the leaf as a central element, giving a familiar symbol a new expression.
These choices were intentional. We wanted our new identity to feel connected to the Medeon that people have known for decades, while allowing room for change and development. Rather than starting from scratch, we built on what was already part of our identity.
Colour plays an important role in Medeon's visual identity. Our palette is grounded in a deep forest green, reflecting our connection to nature, resilience and sustainability. It also creates a clear link to our previous identity, where green was already a defining element.
To complement the forest green, we introduced soft lime, cornflower blue and gentle neutral tones. Together, these colours bring balance, energy and a fresh, modern expression to our communications.
Instead of bright white, we use a warm off-white as our primary light background colour. This creates a softer, calmer and more inviting visual experience across our materials.
The combination of familiar green tones and new complementary colours allows our identity to feel both established and contemporary, reflecting Medeon's history while supporting its continued development.
At the centre of our visual identity is a symbol inspired by the role Medeon plays as an incubator and meeting place for people, ideas and expertise.
The symbol represents what can happen when different perspectives come together. Its dynamic form reflects the energy created through collaboration, the exchange of knowledge and the development of new ideas. In this way, it expresses Medeon's role as a catalyst for innovation and growth within the life science and health ecosystem.
The symbol also carries a connection to Malmö. As a city shaped by diversity, Malmö brings together people from different cultures, backgrounds and communities. These encounters contribute to the city's creativity and development, something we also recognise in the collaborative environment at Medeon.
The four-leaf form can be interpreted in several ways. It represents growth, development and direction, while creating a visual connection to Medeon's previous logo, which featured a single stylised leaf.
By developing the leaf into a new, more dynamic form, we have created a symbol that both acknowledges our heritage and reflects the wider community we are part of.
Medeon is a place where companies, researchers and entrepreneurs meet, exchange knowledge and develop ideas together. These connections are an important part of how our science park works.
The new visual identity was developed around this idea. Inspired by networks and the flow of knowledge, the dynamic logo reflects the relationships and interactions that take place within the Medeon community. Its flexible design allows the visual expression to adapt to different contexts while remaining recognisable.
Together, the symbol, colours and visual elements create an identity that reflects both the collaborative nature of our work and the ongoing development of Medeon.
