APL is a Swedish pharmaceutical company with over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. With around 500-600 employees across four five production facilities in Umeå, Stockholm, Göteborg, Strängnäs, and Malmö, the company serves biotech and pharmaceutical companies, Swedish healthcare, and pharmacies, establishing a strong presence in both Scandinavia and broader European markets.

In its Life ScienceCDMO business, APL specialises in contract manufacturing of registered pharmaceuticals, development and production of clinical trial materials (CTM), and analytical services. At its large-scale non-sterile site for semi-solids and oral dosage forms in Malmö, APL welcomes new customers to establish scale-up or commercial manufacturing in a dedicated area of 720 sqm. The facility offers capabilities for product market introductions or commercialised products.

APL also has extensive operations for compounded medicines and is one of Europe’s largest organisations for pharmacy compounding.
