One of Medeon’s fast-growing companies is AddSolution Care. In just two years, the company has built a business with approximately SEK 60 million in revenue and around 50 Swedish municipalities as customers. The success is based on carefully selected employees with deep industry experience and on identifying a gap in the market.
– Everyone working in the company comes from the industry. We have seen how it works in practice and where the limitations are for customers. That is where we found our niche, says Kristoffer Axelsson, owner and CEO of AddSolution Care.
AddSolution Care is a system integrator within welfare technology and works with a broad network of suppliers. Instead of locking customers into individual products or brands, the company builds complete systems from several providers, always with the customer’s needs in focus.
– Many players want to lock customers into their own solutions. We believe more in an open ecosystem where you choose the best from each supplier. This creates greater customer value and more sustainable solutions over time, says Kristoffer Axelsson.
The company delivers systems for people who need safety and support in their homes and has, among other things, delivered approximately 60,000 personal safety alarms in Sweden that are continuously monitored. Customers include both public and private healthcare providers. One example is the City of Malmö, which is one of the company’s largest clients.
AddSolution Care has around ten employees, with subsidiaries in Denmark and Belgium. Sales also take place in around ten other European countries through partners. Among the company’s collaboration partners are actors such as the French company Legrand — a global supplier of electrical and digital infrastructure — the Finnish company Tieto Evry, as well as the Swedish company Axis and the Norwegian company Telenor.
This spring, an important milestone was reached when AddSolution Care was approved by SKR’s procurement organization Adda as one of five suppliers of welfare technology for so-called special housing under a national framework agreement.
– It is a quality stamp for us and our services. At the same time, it broadens our offering. So far, we have mainly focused on ordinary housing — the home — but now we are also taking a step toward special housing, such as care and nursing homes, previously referred to as retirement homes, says Kristoffer Axelsson.
Looking ahead, ambitions are high.
– The outlook is very bright. We need to recruit to meet continued growth and are also looking at acquisitions in order to reach our goal of becoming a market leader. With our experience, business model, and partner network, we have all the prerequisites to succeed, says Kristoffer Axelsson.
AddSolution Care moved to Medeon this spring and has quickly become part of the local network.
– It is a very good place to operate. Many companies here work in related areas, which is both inspiring and developmental. We already had contacts and partners here, so the step felt natural, says Kristoffer Axelsson.
He also highlights Medeon’s added value beyond the premises.
– Medeon’s services are somewhat unique, with seminars, networks, and the sense of community that is built. We felt welcome from day one. In addition, the geographical location is perfect — it is easy for both employees and visitors to get here.
