To register in our network and newsletter database (the “Register”), Medeon Aktiebolag (“Medeon”) needs to process your personal data. Medeon is the data controller for such processing and will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable laws, as well as decisions and regulations issued by supervisory authorities.
Your privacy is important to us at Medeon, and we are committed to ensuring that your personal data is processed securely.
This information notice is intended to clearly explain what personal data Medeon collects and processes about you, how it is processed, the purpose of the processing, the legal basis for the processing, who may access your data, and what rights you have in connection with this processing. Personal data refers to any information that can identify you as an individual. In our registers, we may include your name, phone number, email address, and organization/employer.
Your personal data will be processed by Medeon based on Medeon’s legitimate interest. This interest is grounded in the need to process your data in order to send invitations to networking activities, newsletters, and information about Medeon’s network and activities. You have voluntarily chosen to register in order to receive this information.
All personal data you provide to us will be stored in our database. If required by law, regulation, court or authority decision, legal obligation, or an ongoing legal process, your personal data may be transferred to a third party. We may also transfer your personal data to subcontractors for the management of our registers, invitations, newsletters, and other communications.
We will inform you if your personal data is transferred to any third party not mentioned in this section. Your personal data may also be shared within the Medeon Group for the same purposes outlined in this notice. All group companies will handle your data securely and in accordance with this privacy notice.
We will process your personal data until:
(i) you object to the processing,
(ii) you are no longer an active participant in our network (i.e. no longer receiving information or attending events), or
(iii) you choose to unsubscribe from the register by emailing the address provided below.
You have the right to request, in writing, information about the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to request correction of inaccurate data and to request the deletion of some or all of your personal data. You may object to the processing of your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
Please note that Medeon may not be able to delete your data if there are legal grounds for continued processing. You also have the right to file a complaint with either Medeon or the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, formerly the Data Protection Authority) regarding our handling of your personal data.
